Left home at 4.30 am to catch a winter session at the Pit. The wind was swinging quite a lot and the tide rushing in. Spotty was out running 44' peaks before I was on the water making me think I should have left home at 4.00      :(  .
Only 5 at the Pit to enjoy the 10 degree day but still great fun. Too tight for me most of the time but good to blow out the winter cobwebs.
Congrats to Spotty as I'm sure he got the points today.
All speeds Doppler on the Navi gt31's. Both Gps within 0.01 of each other!!
A cold day at the Pit

Pre-dawn rise to get to the PiT by 8.30am - last to arrive... The Tonester was there - what a machine >4hrs drive to be there at 8.00.

Used the 5m early, but kept getting lifted, so switched to the 4.4m - instantly 2kn faster... yeharr.  Water was reasonably smooth all day - lots of small chatter, but not too much rolling chop, considering that the tide was coming in and that it was a big tide.  But I found the wind to be quite bursty - only one run with a consistent speed.

Got a few rides on the Love Muscle before Martin packed it in... ooohhh it felt real nice! Tongue out I think I'll need to try a few more boards.

(Always last to post... )
