A fun day and nice to see Bjorn charging full power. The wind was pretty gusty and although I had some good peaks, hitting over 39kts 3 times, I could never maintain it long enough to get a decent average. I put some lead on in a desperate attempt to get a more consistent speed, but couldn't really get near the champ. I think I just pipped Bjorn on the max, with 39.88, but for sure his 2s max is better! What is a bit frustrating is the large gap between my peak and the average. I put it down to weight a bit, to keep the momentum through the lulls, but probably there are lots of things I could do better. Next time I will dust off the speed board and see if that helps a bit. Still broke a few year records today and the summer is long! I think Kai just sneaked me on the 250m as well, so work to do there too!!
