Lake George, SA

Some days you are the statue, and some days you are the Pigeon. Today I felt like the Statue.

It felt like I was getting a beating from Nature and she was giveing nothing in return!

But I don't mind getting a beating in this context. it's kinda fun.

Wind was pretty solid today for this place, but also pretty gusty. Measured 25-28 gusting 30 at the top of the lake. That seemed about right on the water.

I did another tour of the lake to see if I could find consistent wind with flat water. There are large areas of flat downnear the spit in the bay, but it felt like the weed was dragging me down. It felt much better beside the big island, but it's a shorter run so hard to get a gust when you need it. I felt there was a lot more out there today but I just could not find it.

I recon those who did find it will have got some very nice speeds today. This could have been the last good SE/SSE wind of the season as there doesnt look like much next week, but who knows? Hopefully we will get a nice cruisy day tomorrow for some gentle fun.
