Managed to get down to the dip just past 4 and with the gauge showing gusts of nearly 20 mph and the sea fairly flat decided to try the falcon 120 for the first time. The board went well in the chop and flat water by kiter beach but the nne wind is'nt the best direction for Felixstowe making the wind gusty near the beach and to be honest I could have done with the 8.5,but not a bad sail in the sunshine :) I tried in the Deben rivermouth where the water was really flat but the wind was at it's lightest here :(
As Friday is our day off :) and we had window fitters in so we had to stay in Felixstowe, so with the breeze freshening and the sun coming out I went to the Dip just past 2 and met up with Swainy who was 'working from home' !!! With the wind gusting to well over 20 mph I rigged the 6.6 and went out on the big freeride as the sea was bumpy as the tide had only just started to go out.If anything the 6.6 was slightly under but I could get going and beat up to the Deben but the flat water in the river was no good as there was little wind there :( but had loads of fun sailing in front of kite beach in by the golf course where the water was nice and flat and I even managed a couple of duck gybes !!! Good to be out in the sun even if the sea is still chilly :( with no wind for the weekend we are off to which Northampton Saints play rugby and ride the bikes around Grafham Water !!!!
