Wind was up and down all morning, annoying chop as well as so many people were out. Good to get out though
Lots out on the water with a slalom event going on, so water was choppy most of the time.
Spent the first part of the session on the RRD freestyle wave 95 until the wind picked up and I started to see > 25 knot 10 second averages, at which point I switched to the JP Slalom 84.  The 27.22 knots 10 second average was on the RRD, the rest were on the JP.

Quite choppy as slightly too northerly for typical speed strip.

I had the GT31 units set as mph rather than knots so thought I was doing better.

cold and choppy but wet

Sailing Isonic 86 and Kev's Manta 59 back to back.  Lot more float in the Manta but the Isonic 86 easier on the old knees.  Gusty wind and bumpy in places....didn't seem to slow the slalom guys down though!
Final BSA (British Slalom Association) event of 2010. Strapped the GPS to my arm before going out racing and recorded runs of around 29 knots in the middle of the 3 buoy slalom course. Board speed felt good but my starts let me down a bit.

Tech Details: Navi GT-31 V1.4 (B0803T), GPSResults v6.90, Doppler, Cubic Spline.
Choppy.
Strange day, buy with BWA Slalom last round, wind was a bit up and down and had to stay a bit off shore as it was low tide in the afternoon, so was riding the downwind chop leading to a few blow ups! Only got one good 500m run as the wind was inconsistent. Great fun though!
Nice to be back on the water. Speed wasn't on the cards for today - very busy and gusty wind close to the bank. Got my fastest speeds further out in more organised chop
Another fun day at weymouth - Finally a bit more wind now speed week has finished!
Had a late decision to have a go at the masterblaster Slalom comp - headed out late to the wrong beach and missed the first race ! - but then won the next 3 races and 2 second places - dropped a jibe in one and under powerd in the last - damaged a fin and me poor old body running up the beach ! i dont normaly do nunning.
but good fun . well in the lead at the end of the day but  had to return home missing second day so i dont think any prizes for me - came second in the first timers at speed week though ( first board) kite came first (after they changed the rules!) and won a custom board and club vass holiday .
good sail, powered up the entire afternoon as the wind shifted northerly. very choppy making high speeds hard and difficult... new personal best all in all a good days sail :)
Well done Will on your Pbs next stop 30 average for you.
