Snow, 2degrees C, Thunder and Lightning made tricky drive to the Beach, but once there cleared up and was windier than expected.
Once again let down by courier, and my new JP board is still missing presumed lost in snow in the UK.
So once again on a borrowed board, which is too big for me.
After a couple of 40-41s, took a quick break to drive though snow to borrow a smaller board (thanks Guy), but by the time I was back and on the water, the wind had eased a bit too much to make any better speeds.  If anything this one was slower.
Still glad I got out, but a very disappointing result considering the conditions at the start. Maybe my board will turn up on Monday??  I'm not holding my breath :-/
Oh yes, and actually was not that cold while sailing !
I THINK ILL PUT ON MY 5MM BOOTS NEXT TIME :-)
Decided on making the long drive to Burrow beach again leaving Kerry at 4am and the drive up this time was a bit longer in time due to the blizzard i had to drive though on the motorway making me question my sanity wanting to go windsurfing in this...lol, but i pressed on regardless of the freezing cold conditions and eventually made it to Burrow Beach where i found that there was no snow but still with a air temp of 2 degrees and probably a couple of degrees below minus in the wind chill. Once on the water though it wasn't that cold and i managed a few runs before the wind started to drop and the sand bar was getting covered over. Slightly improved my speeds for the year so the drive up was worthwhile and getting more used to my I Sonic W53 after now having used it a few times
