Although the speeds wouldn't tell, this was fun! In the morning I went Blokarting with my brother and in the evening after a very long period, I finally got on my speedboard again for a short session on lovely Texel. The sun was out, the wind from the east was consistent and I strapped on the GPS. My gear was a bit too small with the Hucker 4,8 and the BPF S 26,5 cm.There was no speedstrip mind you, just Waddenzee onshore full on wind chop upto 50cm. The new fin had great control, it was just sometimes just too short when getting airborne attacking the waves from behind. I sailed with Adriaan who got way more speed out of his somewhat bigger gear that got him deeper downwind with more power build up. The conditions were actually quite hairy: Adriaan got a really, really gnarly wipepout getting airborne on a downwinder, landing on his noserail and then chaos. He limped into his van.
