It was lovely and sunny in Southend today and the wind wasn't bad either. There were only three speedies out; Tristan, Matthew and myself so we had the whole place to ourselves. I got out on the water just as the tide was turning so it was a short session for me.

The wind had a fair bit of west in it so we were sailing on the eastern course and doing a fair bit of walking to get back upwind. I hadn't been out on my speed board in over 7 months so it was a great warm up for tomorrow. The wind forecast is pretty promising but there could be a fair bit of rain to go with it.

First time at Southend. Just me, Matt York and Mike George. Needed just a bit more wind for my 5.8 .... but enjoyed the sail. Walk out to the far bank ... not that bad... walk back worse !!! Will I sail Southend again ??? Yes... would like to sail first bank in a Southerly.

how much fun was that ,broke all my pb's , awesome time at the ray with good friends ,
