Similar day to yesterday, but more N in the wind, very close to side shore at 5 mile drift so launched from there about 1430.

Same gear as yesterday, 53, 6.0 and 25.5 @ 35/45 rake

Issac hit the water a bit in front of me, Herby wasn't far behind. Nice smooth sailing lightly powered most of the time. Then I managed to fluke a very nice gust a long way downwind of the gap between the islands, and much to my surprise it just held up for a poofteenth over the NM,

So nice doing 30knts on that glassy water between the Islands, but the 25cm 35/45 raked fin was starting to feel that thick weed close to the surface, a pure 45 probably would have been a bit faster.

On the way out, I was pointing as high as possible to stay away from the downwind Island, and I noticed a guy at the end of the point waving to me, almost distracted me from seeing the couple of black things sticking out of the water. I discovered later it was PJ trying to warn me away from them, should really have stopped and tacked over to the other side I guess, but was a bit worried about getting going again in the thick weed.

Was stoked to see the NM result, wasn't sure if I'd gone far or fast enough to crack the 30. After that the wind started to die, gusts were weaker and lulls got longer.

Not sure if it was better earlier, maybe we were a bit late??
