Back in the game!...after being a couple of knots off the pace the last couple of sessions I made a few major changes.  Using a waist harness again the kit seemed to fly much easier....lower boom and shorter lines.

Over the moon to break 47knots for the first time...was a total supprise as I had my gps face down in the holder where I rigged in a hurry.  Southend showed today how good it could be if only we had a few more knots of wind it could have been really fast.  It was SO flat!

The select crossfire 21 looks really small but gives a good controlable lift which worked well with as it was a little square...could have been faster if it wasn't fitted 5mm into the board...its not easy fitting fins in the mud!

Nice sunny session with Jim C, defo beats working.

Managed to try 5 different fins including BPF S type 24, MXR UFO wide Assy 18,

MXR UFO wide 30 20, BPF X45,  Slingshot 20.

Fastest max and 10 sec was with MXR UFO 20, but Slingshot 20 was my favourite, upwind , downwind does everything really well.

Tried my old X9 Neil Pryde mast in the Simmer SCR, think this was killing my speeds a bit, but with Southend there is no nipping back to re-rig.

Neither course had good angle, west was too broad with big rolling chop and east was too tight. wind was only gusting to about 35 max.

Well done to Jim, glad you had a good sesh, Southend can be much faster....one day.
