Eerste dag Franqui. In het begin stond er niet de volle baak wind dus de spot verkend op zandbanken enzo beetje gevoel krijgen met de vin. Geen zandbanken dus en de mXr asy is geweldig. Laat het board rustig lopen en geeft een fenomenale acceleratie wanneer je je liet afschieten. Niet normaal hoe hard dat ging maar wel full control over de chop. Up wind ook geen centje pijn. Nu nog uitvinden hoe we nog wat harder kunnen voor het afschieten de zee op. Begin is goed nu hopen dat er morgen te varen valt.

Eerste dag La Franqui met Michel. Zon, wind, blauwe zee.. heerlijk om hier weer te zijn ! Vandaag voor het eerst met de Mxr asy gevaren. Lekker vinnetje. Geeft veel vertrouwen en accelereert als een dolle. Aan de wind terug is ook geen probleem. Voor de rest vandaag een steeds harder wordende wind, met ook steeds minder vlak water. Blij met de mini pr op de 10 sec. run. Helaas kreeg ik er vandaag niet meer uit. Hopelijk wordt de wind morgen niet te hard en kunnen er nog wat meer pr-en sneuvelen. Michel had het gas er ook aardig op staan. Het regende pieken van in de tachtig.

Nice day, smashed all PR's on a strait course.  I'm very pleased with all of them, but specially with the mile, cause Kurt asked me to do so today . It was so fast riding along the beach!

Things have to come together, but the rider didn't better (have to thank my doctor to be able to sail at all!) so it has to be the material. The fin gives so much confidence, the board can take chop I would be bounced off with the FS.

At least, you need a good engine, and that is the Blade 5,1m².

Started out on the 5,6 XS Gunsails, but had to switch after one run to the 5,1m². It was blowing! I wanted to do one more good run, but the conditions didn't let me to, water was boiling. A great thanks to John who didn't go out because he was later and the conditions where not good anymore for his bigger stuff, but he helped me de-rigging and putting everything back in the trailer. I sailed in approx. 35-40 knt's but at the end it was more like 50. Stopping before damage was the only reasonable choice.

Martine and I will have a very good dinner tonight!
