Very light winds, only 6-7m/s in the gusts and much less wind (no plane) inbetween gusts.
Good day for tesing lightwind performance on the Isonic 110 vs Isonic 107. I was supprised how quick the Isonic 107 actually planes, almost the same as the Isonic110!! You must work much harder and pump diffently on the I-110, to get it up, but when doing that you can get it going a little earlier than the I-107. Whith the I-107, you are either up in just two pumps or you get no plane at all....
When just planing without any power in the sail, the I-107 was actually faster (if you can talk about fast in these winds...). But in the afternoon the wind increased slightly, enough to get a lift in my Hurricane 42 on the I-110, so I got the board up on the rail and the I-110 was suddenly faster than the I-107.
The I-107 was with Hurricane RS6 -M 40 fin (and the same sail TRX 7.7). I Also tried the Hurricane 42 on the I-107, but did not get the trim right with this fin, so the board just felt "heavy in the water" and not planing earlier.
