Day 4 Luderitz Speed Challenge. Expected a lot from today, it was super windy. Learned from previous days just to wait until somebody else is sailed high speeds and then go out. Wind was super strong but just to broad today, this created a lot of chop on the canal, almost everybody had to break in the middle of the canal and it was kind of suicide mission to make a run. Just relaxed on the beach and when the angle turned from 150 degrees to 130-140 degrees and speeds went up it was safe to go out. Was already 17 hours before i did my first run, managed to get 5 runs and break my personal best on 5x10 seconds and 500 meter.

Step by step we are getting there. Windangle for tomorrow looks much better, but if we get even stronger nucking wind gusts like today it will make it more dangerous and you can not really go with the flow but you have to work hard to stay in control. We will see what happens.

Day4. Drama day didn't feel good this morning allready and when I wanted to make my first run and was in the startbox some big gusts came. When I wanted to go on i see a pryde sail flying into the lagune. Which was my 5,0 so had to get out the water and run like hell to save my gear an I'm happy I could only 2 broken battens and a lot of mud. Only was able to make 5runs and had some bad starts. Hopefully tomorrow it's going to be my day and I'm going to catch the gust of the day. Still confident I can do it just need the canal to work perfect grrr

Wind strong as the course opened and angle more than 140 degrees which made the course silly choppy. After Anders and Patrick each had a huge moment with spinout we all took a long break and waited for the angle to change. Once the angle hit 130 degrees the course flattened a lot but unfortunately the wind also dropped a lot. Still a PR on 500m of 46.78 and new PR on 5 x ten second. Each day you learn such a lot. Now just to put it all together with a solid gust!!!

it was a very nice day, but it started pretty hard core. My first run was over 44 average 500 and the second was about a knot less, but that was such a scary experience due to the chop that I stopped sailing for several hours. It turned out to be good move, late afternoon I did 4 more good runs with double weightvest and it paid off, I was never really overpowered  with the 5m² and getting started wasn't easy, nevertheless I set a few new GPS pr's (250, 500) and probably pushed my 500m video times with a few tenth's of a not. And far more important, it got me ready for the big day that tomorrow might become.

feeling more comfortable, today very broad and choppy

hoping for better conditions tomorrow

Good wind but the chop was a killer. At the end of the day the course got better.
