Very early session at our homespot. A bit too early, because i thought that sunrise was somewhere ard 6:45... Still sleeping too much as I turned on the N659 on the wrong side. Luckily the driver coming from the other direction was well awake ;-)

Wind was far too east this morning (150°) and verly light. Not really as forecasted (25-35kts 170-180°) André came from the north to give it a try on our spot, but it was obvious that it's wasn't gonna happen today (and drove back). So Paul and me rigged 6.3 and we were ready for some chop hopping. 7.0 was the better choice today, but wind was quite stable so no problem with the 6.3. A bit in doubt for the board, but because I became really good friends with my F51, I went for that one.

Rolling chop along the speedstrip, definitely no go there. Checked the west side of the strip and found a little playground (500m) over there (takkenbosjes). We couldn't get close to the sandbank, but at least we had some fun over there. However did my 3 best runs and topspeed (69.12) on the upwind side going deep into the chop. I find it easier to cross the chop in the oppositye direction then going the same direction. Oh i love that board !! The F51 eats chop for breakfast !! I could keep on going, it just stays on track. Really versatile board: speed, chop, jibe and even slalom !! We were not that lucky with the wind: It turned more south when the speedstrip was almost completely gone and wind picked up by at least 5 kts. Did some up and downs on the open water in front of the car and managed to do a 61.2 run with peak speed of 66 !! PR for me on open water (waves). Really thrillseeking action and really happy to achieve this. That Crossfire 25 is THE fin for the board (5.6, 6.3 or 7.0): 1 fin fits all..

Alpha not bad for these conditions. Used my 6mm ION boots for first time today, so struggling to get in the straps after a jibe...

Nice day with Paul !!
