Good early session this morning at first light with Oisin. Tipping 40 knots again top speed but not quite there yet. First rin was the fastest. Not enough power in the sail to beat it after that. Happy with my average speed going up tho.

Up at 3am to get down to Dungarvan early to catch the tide.

Rigged and ready by 7am, and just waiting for the sun to rise enough to see the course!

Angle and tide were perfect, but just not windy enough, and only wind on the fist half of the course.

No real gusts or squalls, so no chance of getting good speeds.

Still, if you don't go, you don't know!

Alternator went on van on way home, and I barely made it back to Dublin before the van's electrics shut down....

which probably rules out tomorrow's adventure, a new spot in NW Donegal we want to try out - somewhere that is always shed-loads windier than Dungarvan - and straight in from Atlantic so nothing to get in the way or slow down the wind.  Watch this space

Finally got a better day in Dungarvan.  Bit choppy for some strange reason?  We had similar angle on one of last sessions yet super flat.

Anyway, 14.5 degrees, 6 guys out and a couple of nice gusts.  Always want more though!

Off to try a new spot in NW Donegal tomorrow,
