Great Sail wind abt 18 to 25kts, tide a bit high so choppier than usual therefre used the iSonic 86, TR-4 6.3m and Pepe weed 25cm  Great combo flying in the conditions and eating the chop.  Had a go at the JP Speed 54, too choppy for such a board at my skill level, was 1.5 knots slower, and life on the line stuff felt dangerous in the chop, but I would imagine on flat water it would be very fast.   Other guyz went out, when tide higher & water choppier, but maybe stronger winds, be interesting to see how they go.

Big day at Hardie's  2 PBs. Woohoo!

Arrived early and it was windy.Cool On the water by 7.30 and put in a solid hour in a moderate southerly. By 8.30 the wind was gone.Cry

Decrepit arrived and we had a chat also Pepe who unfortunately had to go to work. Got sucked in to slogging around a couple of times and then gave up. Sat in the sun waiting and about 11.30 it came in. Did a few loops round the first channel marker and then the scientific platform before deciding to go across the other side and finish an hour. A 23.6 but wind had continued to build so keep going.

Got back to the ramp to see Decrepit heading up wind so followed him up and had a quick chat with Sammy at the top of the estuary.

I was going to join their hour effort but it sounded like I was not welcomeEmbarassed so I set off on my own. Went way to broad early on so was at the bottom of the run with half an hour to go. Thought I had used most of the estuary but was still not using the full width. Worried about depth on the far side. Sonic was great and I reckon there is more still on the right day / path. Finished at the bottom of the estuary as the wind really picked up. It was a well overpowered slog back to base.

hour

Had 117 miles on the board and as the wind was howling by this point decided to get the speed board out.

A few nicely powered up runs on the 5.7 and decrepit pointed out the broken bottom batten, Not bad speed for a broken sail.

Very happy with probably my best all round set of numbers for a single day.Cool

Thanks to the Manbramob for use of their home turf.

Warp6.3, sonic 100, elmo 29 weedy for all except the lat 15ish Ks. Warp 5.7, nonose, elmo wailing banshee 24 weedy.
