After a short night I arrived around noon in Kokkari for a 1 week holiday. Windguru only gave wind for 2 days, so after a quick lunch, I went to the Samos Windsurf Center of Giorgios Sakantaris.

Wind enough and only +/- 5 surfers on the water, most of them with sails around 5.0m. As the wind was gusty and the water very choppy (due to the strong winds of the days before), George adviced me to rig a bit bigger, to get to know the spot.

110 + 7.0 was a good combination. After a while the wind (and my energy level) dropped a bit, so I stopped. But it was a nice acquaintance.

The Samos Windsurf Center has a very friendly team and athmosphere with some nice assets:

1) Without any doubt it is the most cosy spot i've been in Greece. Lots of shade, nice terrace with view over the spot and enough things to do when there's no wind.

2) The sail range is huge from <4.0 to 9.5 so everybody can get the most out of the wind (even heavyweights like me)

3) There's no-one waving with a flag at 18.00h. You can stay on the water till the wind drops.
