Today was my last chance to windsurf this week as working the next three days. The forecast rain was supposed to clear during the morning leaving a sw 15/20mph unfortunately the rain cleared but the wind didn't come:( I still decided to try so first took my kit to The Dip where the wind was 13 mph but the sea was uninviting big and lumpy so I drove to The Manor where the sea was calmer but the wind was very light! I decided to try The Dip again but the wind was still light and sw a fraction off:( On the way home I stopped off at The Fludgers, the sideshore wind was treating to be enough for big kit so I rigged the 8.5 for the 147 and for nearly an hour floundered back and forth. Then with the tide about to turn and the sun even showing it's face the wind suddenly filled in:) I then had a good 30 mins. going really well making nearly 25kt max and a ok n/mile, I then had to leave my kit on the beach and drive to a local school to pick up a couple of kids we are looking after, they said they had never seen anyone in the playground in a wetsuit before!!! We then headed back to the beach to pack up and home for Christmas crafts and a haircut - it's all happening in Felixstowe today:)
