Well what a mixed bag today. Another PB, which I can only credit to having the whole speed run to myself in almost 30 knots of wind and extra long harness lines which changed my stance. Tide was high and chop was about 10cm so can't wait to get wound up in 30knots+ and flat! Wohoooo! Plenty of other smiling faces at the pit too.

Wind direction WSW. 25 knots max when I finally got on the water but decreasing. Changed to Starboard iS87 with Drake 320 standard fin for 1st 1 hour attempt and 5.8m KA Koncept. The fin caught too much weed and ruined the hour. Changed to Time Machine Speed 26 fin for second hour attempt and it was heaps better, and faster even as the wind was dying. The TM fin didn't seem to catch the weed either. Nice day but crowded on the water.

Decided to arrive after midday high tide, which is when the wind peaked.

Thanks Andrew! It was sweet down there on the spit with no one around, even with the large chop I felt like I needed another 5-10 knots to be maxed on the 4.4. All very encouraging. Now for 35knots+ and a low tide ebb! Drool.

'09 5.8Koncept, Kode112, wavefin, first up getting long NMs in with 38-40 peaks. Latter with Daffys Ka 30 SL fin made it way easier to do 41 peaks, no more 38knot spinouts, that fin is real sweet. Few quicker 41 42 runs done with CA44 , 5.8. 23Kassy

Wind dying so the first runs were the best runs. A great day; wind and sun and lots of people on the water (pity bout the kites!)
