After yesterdays wave session, I couldn't help but try some speed runs. In the early morning the wind was still gusting 20 - 35 knots. Really gusty. But Porto Pollo was almost empty (almost no other sailors) and looking really flat, so I thought this was the right time for this spot. I rigged the 5.6 and only had my medium board as smallest with me. Put under the good ol' Tectonics goldwing 34, which is such a nice fin under this board in high winds. Was really sceptic if this combo would work on these flat waters. I went on the water and did find out the course is really short because of the buildings on the pier which block the wind at some point. But before the actual windy area ends you can still squeeze out a peak speed.

With a little more wind and smaller board (easily a speed board) you can easily set a good average speed here. But only if there's not much other sailors around. At one point it got too crowded and I decided to get some lunch.

I think this is the spot PR at this point. But somebody can easily steal it from me on a good day.
