EAST COAST SPEED QUEST 2012

Event Description / Notice of Race

The East Coast Speed Quest is an open and free speedsurfing event that starts September 1, 2012 and ends December 31, 2012. Any windsurfer can participate by registering for free at www.gps-speedsurfing.com. Winners will be announced in the following disciplines:

• Max 2 second speed
• 5 x 10 second average
• Nautical mile
• 500 m alpha racing (50 m)
• 1 hour
• Total distance (within a single calender day)

Race venue

Any windsurfing spot at the East Coast of the USA, including inland spots within 200 miles of the coast.

GPS Units and Data Analysis

Speed measurements must be made with Locosys Navi GT-31/GT-11 GPS units using Doppler mode, and posted within 10 days. To ensure uniform analysis parameters, tracks must be uploaded to http://www.ka72.com/, and speed results calculated there must be used. All results must be posted by December 31, 2012, 8 pm EST.
