Great arvo session at boggy lake in a 20 - 25 knot s/sw wind.  Dusted the cobwebs off the isonic 50 and decided to go with the 5.8 for more power on the speed board.  Great decision the Isonic 50, 5.8 koncept and c3 24cm fin (3rd time out) were an awesome combo.  Really choppy both ends of the lake with a sort of flat section in the middle although you hit the rolling chop head on on bearaways.  I think with 5 - 10 knots of wind and little more sw i think you would do high 30's.  Good to see Tim back on the water.

Shocker of a day for me.  Loaded the trailer, shifted the car and had to get out in a tight space - put my foot through the door speaker.Yell

Got to boggy and it had filled in - rigged 7m evo11 and plugged in the JP49.  Was pretty choppy and 25-30 at first and I wasn't too comfy trying to keep the board on the water so I headed in for some weight.  Stepped on a 15mm thorn that stayed in my foot for the day!Yell

Thought I would go out on a 58cm freeride board to smooth out the bumps and stay connected.  Heading out upwind through the chop leaning forward in the harness and thud.  Boom seems to flex in the middle.  I had just broke my newer $1600 x9 boom 3 weeks out of warrantyYell

Went out on the 5m by which time it had dropped and became more gusty.  I had 1 run off the wind off the wind underpowered and waited 20 minutes for a gust to get back.

I would have been on the 92VI but I am still waiting for the damn thing.  All in all it was one of those days when you seriously consider why you do the sport.
