Dik uur lekker en droog gevaren bij dikke 6 bf. Gestopt toen de regen en de echte storm eraan kwam.

What a day, cold, rain, and chop. the first time on the Falcon 85. A smaller board might have been better, but I just wanted to test this board. It was amazing, so fast, so easy to control, unbelievable. It was very choppy, a really nasty big chop, in the beginning it was a bit scary, but the board gave me so much confidence, perfect!
I'm really looking forward trying out the 45 and 51.

Fighting the elements !! Started with the 5.2 Simmer SC but way too big for me (or me just too light ;-) ) Returned to change for a wavesail 3.7. Discovered that the sail was a little damaged in the upper section (monofilm) but with the continous rain showers it was unable for the ducktape to stay sticked. So went sailing with a hole in my sail. Discovered today that this combo doesn't work !! Such a small wavesail is way too unstabel for the Falcon Speed. Also some heavy chop which I penetrated 3 times with the nose of the board resulting in one heavy catapult... Only did 3 'descent' runs before high tide came in. Really have to look for a small race sail. Astonishing results from Pat during this heroic day at the dam !!
