Well the wind was howling across the UK for a change, would have been lovely to have had a day out sailing, but no chance of getting out from work until 5.30pm.

After sailing a lot of Formula recently, I have found it incredibly difficult to sail the short board, and I just can't get any weight into the harness and off my arms. The hideously gusty wind didn't help. After lots of adjustments I finally got over a 30 average!

Simon and Bob had a storming session up at St Johns and their efforts are especially impressive given that it is an inland spot.

I think some of my kit does need updating though, this board is 7 years old and had a lot of use, I rigged the sail badly and could do with a better mast and boom for it. Frankly though I don't know how I could ever afford it despite having a good income!! I really don't know how people can afford new kit!!
