With MIke again at Sotavento, rigged for what we saw on the water at 3pm by 5pm the 7.2m was well overpowered. Chop chop and more short chop. No good for speed at all.

Funny place sail, once again lots of traffic on the water

Get your self between the Egli centre and Mistral on the old speed course and you'll find better conditions both with chop and wind and there's a hell of a lot less traffic. The spots you're sailing are jammed with freestylers and novices. You can get close to it without having to sail so far by rigging at the carpark that Egli use for the kites which you access from the Egli centre to the north. Enjoy The other option is to sail the beach area to the south of the Mistral centre which is nice with a good kick towards the end and always quiet. If the swell and period is good you can get some nice flat water.
