Today the wind was earlier than predicted. I was still enjoying my lunch in the cozy harbour of Kokkari. Wind was less gusty and water less choppy than the previous days.

"Busy" day with +/- 15 windsurfers on the water. Among them Babis the brother of Giorgios (Giorgios owns the surfclub at land, Babis kind of owns the water with his bright yellow sail )

Started with the fanatic Hawk 120 + 8.0m. Perfect combi for nice legs of a few kms. Only the Fanatic Shark fin was a bit too unpredictable when pushed, but stil had a very pleasant ride. After a while the wind dropped a bit and I changed to the Tabou Rocket 135.

The spot conditions are (in my opinion) a bit similar to Rhodos/Trianda or (in the Netherlands) Brouwersdam-seaside. Nice spot for freeriding with sideshore wind from left, quite safe with the Kokkari bay at leeward side.

I could have surfed at least another 2 days (don't know if it is every week like this), but there were other things on my list, like discovering the island on a quad. I had a great week on Samos.
