I tried really hard today... I arrived early, the sandbar was out and there was pretty good wind. I had both the 6.3 and the 5.4 rigged and ready. The trouble was the sand bar is almost useless as you can't get very close to it due to the geometry of it and secondly due to the crowds of beginners littering the course. However, It was pleasing to see there were several really young kids out there doing very well on tiny gear. Hoping to get back out tomorrow without the crowds.
