Strong northeast wind session at Shoal Bay right on high tide. Glad I made the effort and stayed away form Takapuna Beach,  as i got to test out newly acquired 6.2 Evo II. Started fully maxed with 28 venom then changed early to slingshot 20 and had some reasonable runs. Water was reasonably flat on the other side of the bay closer to Northern motorway. Finished last half hour with 32 Venom and 5.8 RS. Happy with Evo II, but never really got in the groove. Finally realised when I derigged Evo that I had my 180 - 230 boom set at 188 to start with , then 190. Should have been set at 192 as sail spec states "191" - No wonder i was feeling somewhat uncomfortable most of the time!

Had a nasty catapult which nearly broke my neck. Rolled head first onto the sail. Very lucky!
