My first visit to Daymer Bay. The wind was lighter than forecast a few days ago so I went out with the modest goal of a 35 knot session. I reckon the 34.99 result is close enough! The session was nice but the wind was a bit light for the 6.4. I learnt a bit about the spot and glad that I got out of bed for an early sail! It is a shame that the local speedies were not out to show me the ropes. Most if not all of my 10s runs were within a knot of my peak speeds. I tried to make the most of the conditions and my unfamiliarity with the spot. It felt like a bit of a lottery as to whether I would get a gust when I entered the course. I'll look forward to sailing at the spot again.
