first sail for me at foxton. it certainly has potential, but wind and small tide window need to fit together.

i tried to switch to the smaller board at the peak of the wind... but by the time i had everything ready to go the wind had dropped. shoulda kept on running a few more fast runs on the bigger board to get a better result... oh well.

this was my first outing on a speed course on the modified RS60 too. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!
i basically filled in the cut-outs and faired the whole tail out with a more conventional outline. the board trims quite a bit flatter on the water [mast track back and boom a fraction higher. and most significantly it has a lot more control. it doesn't sit tail down so much and the bouncing from rail to rail has pretty much disappeared. the board is faster by quite a margin than i ever had it.
