Recent shortage of wind made it absolutely imperative to go for a sail today, but conditions were difficult with 0-25kt winds in the space of a few meters.
1st real session with the warp - I am starting to see the attraction of race sails -very slippery and stable when overpowered. I am sure it handled the gusts much better than my 6.7 sabre would have done.
Quite a bit of cross chop made it hard to maintain speed for long. It's interesting to see just how hard it is to get runs of 30knts, which is pretty slow on this web site, and I admire anyone who is able to do it on open water....may have to try some of the "flatter" spots around Auckland but hey, when you can sail off the end of your driveway...........All in all, much learning to do!
