After three days work this week I didn't have any today and with the wind forecast to drop during the day I was at The Dip/Felixstowe at about 8:15 and after last night heavy rain we had lovely sunny conditions :) I rigged 7m and was on the water at approx 8:45 and sailed up to join the couple of kitesurfers, there was no flat water in the river in this direction so I ended up doing some nice runs in front of Bawdsey beach - nice spot :) I went for a mile and got my best of the year even if a bit on the slow side, the wind was never that strong and in the end it died down and I had to wobble back :( I had to walk back across the shingle bar and by the time I got back a few groynes short of where I started the coast guard were waiting for me again !!! apparently a passing yacht said there was a windsurfer in trouble !!! at least they helped me carry my kit back to the van !!! :) So an okay couple of hours in the sunshine and fingers crossed for some more wind on Saturday and no rain please !
