Nice and warm lightwind session!

I trimmed the sail a little different today. The tack-strap on the MauiSails is located very low, so I had to increase the extension to get the sail higher up allowing me to tighten the tack-strap without getting wrinkles in the bottom part. The location of the tack-strap is probably the only thing that I find strange on the TRX.

With the new trimming, I did not really get the board up from the water and my upwind performance lacked. In the beginning I though it was due to the light wind (only 5-6m/s), but later on the wind picked up sightly, just enough to get lift from the fin, but the upwind performance still lacked...

I tried to change the sail trim again and again, but I never really got my things flying today and always difficult to get higher upwind legs. It felt like the fin was too small, but I was sure that I took the Hurricane 42... at least I took the fin from the Hurricane 42 fin-case... When packing my things up after the session, I found the Hurricane 42-fin still in my car, so I must have put the 40 fin in the 42 fin-case last time I was out...

So what did I learn from todays sail trimming... Never trust the figure on the fin-case wink
