SAVE THE FELIXSTOWE LOBSTER !!!

After another 8 hours dressed in yellow working on the roads and I thought I had retired !!! on returning to Felixstowe there was even more wind than yesterday :) So I picked up the trailor and headed to The Dip - remembering to new code for the gate - it changed today ! After yesterdays longboard session I was keen to get out on something shorter so took a chance with 8.5 on my big xantos. The sea was so'oooooooooo flat for several hundred metres but unfortunately the wind was at it's lightest here :( but the wind picked up out by the red and white bouy and by bearing off down a wave you could get planning :) Now back to the headline - there are now lobster pots absolutely everywhere along Felixstowe seafront :( including just off the beach right where we launch at The Dip !!! some are marked with flags on poles - some not and there are long lenghts of rope floating everywhere !!! :( I had one big wipeout and several near misses - shame really as it's spoiling the sailing a little !!! Still another top session - sadly I was the only windsufer out apart from Swainy's kids and a learner windsurfer and kiter. I had a nice chat with a man who landed in a canoe, he had paddled all the way from Wilford Bridge, the other side of Woodbridge and it only took him 2hrs 20 mins !

What will tomorrow bring more sea breezes ???

I can only sail as fast as the wind and waves allow !!! and of course by my old kit and bad technique !!! :)
