'And now for something completely different'

This weekend was the Real Trip event on Makkum and since there was wind forecast for today, we decided to join in on the long distance race. That was good fun, but waay out of my comfort zone, being used to flat water and all. Starting was already hard, but as the day progressed, we also got more and more wind along with bigger waves. Luckily I managed to round the boat all 4 times with dry hair, so that helped tremendously for my overall standing, because the board speed was terrible. Is it just me or did it look like the more races were held the further out the boat was? :P

All in all a very well organised event with great conditions and it might even inspire me to go out slalom sailing more :) Thanks to all the event organisers for a great weekend!
