Another exciting session with a few diehards who simply couldn't stay at home =)

Took the 5.6 today, which was good and stable in the wind that we had. Started with the BPF S24, but the nose of the board was very jumpy and the fin didn't seem to agree with the way I entered my speed run either, so switched to the Slingshot 21 after 5 runs or so. I have to sing praise to that fin again, because straightaway the nose of the board was down again and it held it's course in the gnarly conditions when slingshotting into the chop at Lauwersmeer today. I'm sure by current standards there are a few faster fins out there now, but I'm sticking to this one just because it's soo safe. And let's not forget i'm the weakest link in the system anyways...

So over the course of the day the speeds went up a bit, but still there's a big difference between me and the rest who simply manage to transfer more of the wind into speed, especially in these type of conditions. Had loads of fun though and felt in control, so can't wait for the next one!
