The wind continues to blow from the NE :) but with the best conditions in the afternoon as the tide drops I was in no hurry to get down. Being a bit windier than yesterday I loaded the 133, the 7.8 and 6.5 in the car and headed down at about 1.30. I was surprised that Steve Carter was out on his big board and 8.5 !!! so I rigged the 7.8 as yesterday and was better powdered up this afternoon but never overpowered !!! I beat up to the River Deben again in search of some flat water - I a little flat water but no wind and a strong tide so I had a few runs the Bawdsey side of the shingle bar which was good before heading out to sea and then playing in front of kite beach and found some great flat water blasting with some cool gybing right on the beach :) Young Tom out on his carve 133 and 7.5 was having fun when his uj broke :( his kife was saved by Ian Clarke when he sailed a uj out to him and all getting back safely :) So a nice afternoon out enjoying the flat water in golf beach and some interesting wavey conditions in the river mouth even if a bit on the chilly side with my hands getting cold in the end and some of the sailers still in hats !!!
