Port Douglas

Great session. Very steady wind and chop was dialled down. The 6.2 Koncept was very powered up the whole time. Never fell in, plenty of fast runs. Swapped boards mid session to test the new F-Race against the 2011 Manta. The Manta is clearly faster. Better top end. Accelerates quicker, more responsive to direction changes and hold speed better through gybes. What's the F-Race better at? Not sure! It is more planted in the water and doesn't get squirelly in big gusts. Not quite as exhilarating, but less likely to result in a spectacular crash. Overall the F-Race was about half a knot slower than the Manta. Best sail in PD this year foe me. Shame Ed wasn't out.

Started on Tabou Manta (Fury 34cm) swapped to Patrik F-Race (Phoenix 32cm). KA Koncept 6.2
