After arranging to drop off my kids at Grandad's in the morning, Janet and I had intended to test some 12m Slingshot kites at Sandy Point after the winds had backed down to around 20 knots. We arrived at SP with our kites around midday to find the regulars packing their gear away after a very good session. Tony had set a terrific PB and will probably show up on the top of 2006 for a while with a 41.2 average. The wind was still too strong to test the kites. So we hung out at Andrew Daff's for lunch and a snooze until the wind dropped.

Unfortunately, the wind stayed up all b***dy day, mostly around 20 but still gusting to 30. Not good 12m kite conditions.

So about 4.30pm, once the tide had dropped a bit I borrowed some gear from Andrew Daff and went windsurfing instead. Got a couple of good runs but the course was a little tight most of the time. The OceanMotion board was really easy to ride and the KA fin worked very well too in the conditions. Good fun sailing.
