Well I didnt think I'd get a sail today and was in a foul mood and after rushing to the lake in what looked like a dropping wind I managed to get a good hour in at 4.30. The wind was very gusty and patchy but wind gusts were pretty reasonable. Was good to see Jonny W again who has had a long break from sailing. I flung my kit together super quickly and rigged the old 7m badly putting a small hole in the luff and I think this restricted me on speeds a little, but most runs out through the chop were fairly consistent. It looks like I broke the 500m record for stithians lake again on a decent downwinder.
Pretty pleased now and Hils is cooking me a nice dinner!
Oh and by the way..... YOU LOT WHO ARE ABLE TO GO TO KIRBY WITH FLEXIBLE JOBS ETC DONT KNOW HOW LUCKY YOU ARE... I CANNOT GET ANY FLEXIBILITY WITH MY JOB AND ITS A NIGHTMARE.... I think I've got perhaps one or two sessions left at kirby before I retire the dedicated speedboard as it's too frustrating
