first time here, great spot, fantastic weather. First day, angle was good. Rigged a 4.4 for me as a light weight with expecting increasing conditions and no extra weight, this had to do it. Must admit i felt a bit chicken during the high speeds along the cost line. You had to pay attention to the incoming swell near the coastline and at the end of the run, the suddenly chopy area you sailed in. Dangerous at high speeds. Especially after having learned about Barry's crash, broken board and ribbs and loose bone in the back of his knee. So played it safe, many times i didn't stay hooked in sailing along the shore, didn't want to crash in the strong gusts. Still have a lot to learn about footpressure, stance and staying hooked in at high speeds and in the gusts. Slowly improving but still made 7 pr's. Unfortunately not crossing the 70km barrier. During second day, made some pics and got some advice from Barry Mr. Injured while observing the top guys passing by. Thanks for that Barry. Get well soon. At the end, it felt too short for a 2 day ride and 1,5 day of good wind (second day windangle was not good, only at of the day it improved slightly) .Nice atmosphere with the top 20 of the Netherlands. Will be back some day but with a longer lastig Tramontana. http://picasaweb.google.com/111113550198649163253/LaFranqui25September2010#5522244603549300098
