Not too bad, considering this was the first time with my new 2011 Mega-XS 6.3m. This one is the follow-up for my beloved 2008 season 6.2m.

Luckily the spacers were OK right out of the bag. First 2/3 of the session with +2.5 cm downhaul (like the 2008 model). Upper leach less loose then with 2008 model (1 cm past FRED). Last part of the session, increased downhaul with 1 cm (now +3.5).

Clearly +3.5 cm is too much. Sail feels extremely light, but no drive anymore. No backhand whatsoever. Really hard work getting any upwind.

With +2.5 cm and zero outhaul, upwind angle and speed clearly better than the 2008 model. Still need to experiment with less downhaul.

Because somehow this is not the right trim yet. Runs are too flat; only 1-2 kmh between peak and 10s.

Camber rotation is very good. But you can feel that the 2011 model has a deeper draft (belly) than the 2008 model. Camber 3 (from bottom) needs a firm pull on the boom after the gybe, when closing the sail. But no foot kick ;)
