Missed all the big winds during the week, working and full of cold :( well done for some great speeds at West Kirby !!! This was my last chance to get out in December as we are off to France next week for Christmas - fingers crossed for some snow. Too cold for me for an open sea session so I headed over to Levington for a trip out on the longboard, it was a lovely sunny day but a cold 6 degrees! The sw wind was gusting to 24 mph so I chickened out and rigged 7.8 as I didn't fancy rigging my new 8.5 and I was under powdered nearly all the time. In the summer I would have rigged 8.5 or possibly 9.4 but still had 2hrs + sailing up and down in front of the marina making it nearly as far as Pin Mill. I called in on David and Maggie Coles on the way home to drop off a wetsuit David lent me to try on - a prolimit hydrogen loose top drysuit - a nice suit and will be looking for one on ebay !!! also I dropped my longboard in for David to repair as my trailor broke and put a huge hole in it :( Also Maggie gave me some mince pies - having just eaten a couple I can say they are the best mince pies I have ever had !!! :) Thats enough of my rambling and I would just like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a windy and sunny New Year !!! :)
